Behind the Scenes

Founded in 2022 by Tampa-based Trombonist James Wall and Midwest-based Multi-Instrumentalist Tony Jr. (T.J.) Schaff, the Schaff- Wall Collective has one goal in mind: to provide authentic, captivating live music performances inspired by the modern Jazz movement. Wall and Schaff met in Tampa Bay, Florida in 2021 and began performing together in local bands and music venues. The duo quickly gained notoriety for their adaptability and diverse music selection. James Wall and T.J. Schaff perform regularly around the Tampa and St. Petersburg metro and specialize in full band, jazz combo, intimate settings, and private events.
